About Elizabeth
A neighbor first, A COUNCILMEMBER ALWAYS
Elizabeth Orona didn't set out to run for office, she set out to fix things for her neighborhood. The last four years of hard work at council meetings, participating on various committees, and broader Valley and County exposure as Chair to the EMA GSA, volunteering with local organizations, and working alongside District 4 neighbors have confirmed this work is not done. These experiences, where she's brought that same practical, listen-first approach to every decision and every vote, are foundational to the next four years. And these next 4-5 years are critical for our City.
On the Council, Elizabeth has focused on the practical decision making, long term policy making, and fundamentals: supporting the economy and businesses, pushing for deliberate planning as we experience a dramatic development phase, careful fiscal policy to ensure our community remains affordable, and insisting on transparent, long-term planning for water and infrastructure investments. Her civic record runs through the Eastern Management GSA (chairing the agency that governs Solvang's water wells), the Aquatics Foundation and SYVHSUSD JUA, the Parks & Recreation Master Plan Committee, and Co-founding Solvang Cinema Arts.
She's running for re-election because the work isn't finished and because Solvang's future deserves a representative who knows this City and this district neighbor by neighbor.
