A neighbor first, A COUNCILMEMBER ALWAYS

Elizabeth Orona didn't set out to run for office, she set out to fix things for her neighborhood. The last four years of hard work at council meetings, participating on various committees, and gaining broader Valley and County exposure, have confirmed this work is not done. These experiences, where she's brought that same practical, listen-first approach to every decision and every vote, are foundational to the next four years.  And these next 4-5 years are critical for our City.

On the Council, Elizabeth has focused on practical decision making and fundamentals: supporting the economy and businesses, pushing for deliberate planning through a dramatic development phase, careful fiscal policy to ensure affordability, and insisting on transparent, long-term investments our water infrastructure. Her civic record includes four years forming the Eastern Management Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA - now Chair), time as Mayor pro tem, time on the Library Advisory Committee, member of the Aquatics Foundation and SYV High School Joint Use Agreement (JUA), the Parks & Recreation Master Plan Committee, and Co-founding non-profit Solvang Cinema Arts.

She's running for re-election because the work isn't finished and because Solvang's future deserves a representative who knows this City and this district neighbor by neighbor.
